Yes, this is a splurge. But it makes my list of places to stay for many reasons. First, you can’t say enough about its most helpful staff and its incredible location, within walking distance of the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, the St. Germain des Près neighborhood, and a great metro stop. The hotel is very modern and polished, and includes everything you would expect of a four star hotel: room service, fine restaurant, concierge service, fine linens, marble bathrooms with luxurious bath products. They even include an iPod to use during your stay in Paris. Flat screen tvs, Bose stereo systems, the works. The rooms are small, but no smaller than elsewhere in Paris. This hotel has a very warm welcome and pairs it with exceeding the expectations of its guests. If you have the money to spare, this would be a worthwhile place to stay on the Left Bank.
