This is a beautifully restored former war hospital between Chatelet and Hotel de Ville. Clean, comfortable and charming, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The interior is done in a beautiful deep red, from the parlor area to the bedrooms. The bathrooms are spotless, and they provide a hair dryer and bathrobes! Breakfast is a bit pricey but it is so complete and delicious…everything from bacon and eggs to cheeses, cereals, a variety of croissants, Mariage Freres teas, coffee, and three types of juice. Ask for a room on the top floors where you will get more light and a view.Close to many of the Paris’s central tourist attractions. This place is a gem.

Based upon this sites recomendation visited this hotel 2nd weekend in April 2008 and was not disappointed location, decour, cleanliness and warmth of welcome all top notch.
Feels rather like a boutique hotel small and quaint with a very homely feel. Just ideal for a weekend break. Good enough for me to be bothered to write about it on this website.
Would definately recommend to friends and family and would hopefully like to visit again as didn’t get to see everything I liked to in Paris.

So glad you enjoyed it. It is an excellent choice, I don’t hear many complaints about the Britannique!
