While in France you must try a macaroon, and while trying a macaroon you must go to Ladurée, because they have undoubtedly the best macaroons you can get. The French macaroon is not like the fluffy egg white American macaroon. It is made of almond paste, and filled with a wonderful filling of chocolate ganache, coffee, or fruit. A macaron and a cup of coffee is just what you need while making your way down the Champs Elysées.
