This is a new restaurant at the Place de la Madeleine by star chef Alain Senderens formerly of the highly acclaimed (and highly priced) Lucas Carton. Tired of having to keep up with the three Michelin stars that were consistently awarded to his former restaurant, Chef Senderens decided to scale it down a bit and enjoy his craft. So he closed Lucas Carton and re-opened in fall 2005 under his own name. Gone are the stuffy waiters and the incredibly high prices. In their place are a modern, more laid-back atmosphere and a wonderfully creative menu with prices that can’t be beat for this level of cuisine.
It should be noted that Michelin still awarded him two Michelin stars for 2006!
Reservations are essential many weeks in advance.
