Metro Stop: Saint Paul or Bastille
Place des Vosges, Paris, France
Located in the Marais (4e arrondissement) and not far from the Place de la Bastille sits the Place des Vosges. This is Paris’ oldest and perhaps most beautiful square, dating to the 16th century. Victor Hugo’s house is located here. The houses surrounding the square are perfectly symmetrical. In the center of the square is a statue of Louis XIII, and around the perimeter are wonderful art galleries, small shops, quaint cafés and some fantastic restaurants. You could spend an entire afternoon in the Place des Vosges.
