It’s that time of year again! The official sale period in France is upon us, beginning January 7 and continuing for five weeks, until the week ending Saturday, February 14 (some stores will continue through that day).
These sales are offered only twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. You can benefit from great sales of 30% – 70% off. The closer you get to the end of the sales period the steeper the discount, but the slimmer the pickings as well.

Most shops are open from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., some closing for lunch but most not. Department stores tend to stay open a bit later.
