Bonjour and welcome to Paristriptips, a Web site designed to help you make the most of your trip to Paris, or to make you dream of the possibility. I am a part-time Assistant Professor of French and a full-time francophile and francophone.
To me, the most beautiful and fascinating city in the world is Paris. I enjoy sharing my love for Paris with others because I hate to hear of anyone coming home from this fabulous city disappointed. I have spent a great deal of time living and studying in Paris. Years ago, I received a graduate degree in French literature from the Sorbonne University in the heart of the city. During my time living in Paris, I made numerous friends that I am still in touch with, and I return to visit them every chance I have. They keep me up-to-date on the happenings around town, on the “must-sees” and “must-misses”.
Since entering the professional world in the U.S., I have returned to Paris at least yearly for an extended trip. Each time, I make the decision to experience something new, something I hadn’t done during my previous travels there. My experiences in Paris have led me to know the city like the back of my hand.
I have fielded many questions about travel to Paris from friends, family and students. They have urged me to write them down. To date, I have sent countless people to Paris, my ideas and itineraries in hand, and each time they return to me raving about their experience. So many have told me: “You have to publish this! You have to share your knowledge!” And so I created this Web site.
As I return to Paris I will surely come back with new places to highlight on ParisTripTips.com, so the site will be updated along with my experiences.
Enjoy the site and bon voyage!
Lesley
